Look for staining or swelling on walls and skirting next to the shower, loose or hollow-sounding tiles, cracked grout, lifting vinyl in the next room, or a persistent musty smell.
Can a leaking shower be fixed without removing tiles?
If the problem is grout or silicone, yes. If water is getting past a failed membrane, the tiles need to come off for a lasting repair.
